Critique Service

New, and even well established, members can understandably be unsure of entering images into competition. The club tries to offer various encouragements to overcome this.

The competition judges are briefed to provide feedback on each image in a way that encourages progress for the image author. Only the top 5 images in each competition are given a score by the judge

There is a themed PDI competition which is not open to the club members who perceive themselves to be working at a more advanced level.

Those same members, in particular Darrell and Geoff who are both competition judges themselves, are happy to provide a critique service by e-mail

We run regular ‘Picture Share’ evenings where, if the author so desires, club members in the audience will offer image critique.
