Last night (9-Feb-2017) we enjoyed an eclectic mix of images from photo-journalist Howard Barlow. The images covered 1970-80.s when he was a young photographer on a local paper, then on  through his time with National Newspapers to currently doing assignments,  wedding s and corporate work.

The early images depicted some iconic street scenes of a Manchester long gone.  His early Pop Concerts images are still in demand today!

Joining a national newspaper provided some national characters and lots of clever Guardian style images.

Even the later shots were all different, told a story and gave an insight into his natural talent for  spotting the opportunity, as much as taking the image.

I recommend this talk to anyone who wants to look at photography outside our Camera Club World.
