Hello All,

We had a good start to the new season. It was nice to see so many exisiting and some new members come along.

Next Thursday is the first of our Tutorial Sessions. Very useful for our new members but can equally be a refresher to the rest of us.

Darrell and I will give a Presentation on the art of Composition, which is critical to producing better Pictures.

This Power Point presentation will be available the following day. It will be put into drop box. You can then Copy, to take out a copy. Do not cut or drag it out of drop box.

The following week is our first proper Picture Share and to set the rule. You can put 10 Images into Drop Box.
Please Put the Images in a Folder, name Folder as your name Name followed by Picture Share + Date (18-Sept-14)

If anyone wants to put images for competition critique into this Picture share they can, and we will give a critique as they are shown. If you prefer a private critique that can also be arranged.

I regret we will no longer not be accepting Images via Memory stick.

Over the next few days I will invite all those not currently on DropBox to join. If you are not currently a member of another DropBox (IE you do not have the software loaded on your computer) then you need to download the software from Dropbox.com before you accept my invitation.

I have use several drop-box groups for a few years and can recommend it as an Image sharing system. It is however important to keep your own Images safe on your own computer, Do not rely on Dropbox as a storage system.

Once have download loaded the software and accepted my invitation, under your “My Downloads” you will find “My DropBox” then under “ACC Picture ShareFolder “ you can paste your pre-created Picture Share Folder.

I will then receive an email confirming you have joined our DropBox. When you paste your folder into drop-box, it shows a red icon until it has synced with everyone at which point it turns green. At this point everyone in the group can / could see those Images.

Along the Task Bar of your Computer. a new icon will appear, and from this you will receive notifications that new Images have been added / deleted from your Dropbox. Right clicking on the Icon is a quick way to go to your local DropBox.

I will remove the Images from Dropbox at my earliest opportunity.

Any queries / problems please contact me.

Regards
Geoff
