Website Update 7/10/13
Judging Seminar & APM Mentoring Seminar – there are still places available on the Judging Seminar, please get your applications to Christine Widdall now as quickly as you can –FRONT PAGE.
PAGB e-news 99 has been published. The contents are listed on the FRONT PAGE. I think we are all looking forward to issue 100 which will contain 500 images sent in by club photographers throughout the nation. It will be very interesting to see the collection as it may well provide a better idea of what people are up to with their image making than the competition folios we are used to seeing. A valuable document which I think we should emulate. FRONT PAGE – PAGB PAGE
Details of the MANCHESTER CANON ROADSHOW have been sent through. They have reserved 100 tickets for club members if you are interested in attending – FRONT PAGE – EVENTS
Also in EVENTS, we have Rikki O’Neill at Chorley PS and (well in advance but selling fast they say) Ann and Steve Toon at Holme & D PS next April!
I have added a non-club event, a retrospective of Michael Kenna’s work at the Brindley Arts Centre in Runcorn. Michael came from Widnes and this exhibition marks his 60th birthday. He has a tremendous reputation internationally and you will find it interesting I’m sure. He is giving a talk Saturday lunchtime, when the exhibition opens, but you need to book. FP and EVENTS
The information on the CLUBS page will be updated in the next day or two but please remember that the Portal is your definitive source and club details can easily be printed off. The page on the website is really aimed at people looking for a club (we hope, to join).
The website was last updated a little early and this update is a few hours late because I was away for a few days – something you will appreciate I am unlikely to announce in advance! This gives me the chance to say I usually update on Sundays and send this email out on Monday mornings, so if you have any news, events etc get them to me by Saturday night. [email protected]
Have a good week.
