Tonight saw our annual competition against Holmes Chapel. As usual the battle was extremely close.
Judge Robert Millin of Wigan 10 was impressed by the standard of the prints following his initial look through. The print section ended with Alsager opening an 11 point lead.
Experience has shown us that this advantage is not enough to feel comfortable. As the PDI round progressed Holmes Chapel started to accumulate some big scores. However, despite their valiant come back Alsager finished just 4 points clear at the end.
Our inter club competitions are always very even and tonight was no exception. Commiserations to Holmes Chapel and we look forward to next year.
