Last night saw the last of the official “basic skills evenings”.  From the feedback I’ve got the evenings seem to have been received well and have proved useful. I thank existing, long term members for their patience, but would welcome any thoughts from new or older members on whether we have got the balance right, for future seasons.  Any members still seeking advice are welcome to talk to me at any time and if there is enough call we can arrange further “break out” sessions.

Normal club nights resume next week and we have our first project evening. This is not a competition, so the images are not judged and it is just for fun. The theme is “Harvest” and members bring around 10 shots interpreting that theme in their own way. It is really interesting to see how different people approach project themes.

Next week is also “hand in” for competition 2. I am changing the hand process slightly and would ask that when you leave a print or PDI with me that you write the numbers of entered on a record sheet that I have produced. This is a very quick task but will be very useful for me.

PLEASE NOTE that the mono PDI must have the theme of Architecture.

The following week we have a visit for guest speaker Terry Donnelly a very successful and talented photographer. I am really looking forward to hearing him.
